Raghav Chadha Defends His Parliamentary Actions Amidst Controversy
Raghav Chadha Addresses Allegations
New Delhi: On Saturday, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha stated that his intention in Parliament is to make a meaningful impact rather than cause disturbances. He dismissed the allegations made against him by the Aam Aadmi Party as unfounded and part of a coordinated smear campaign.
In a video statement, Chadha refuted claims that he abstained from opposition walkouts, labeling the accusation as a blatant falsehood.
He challenged his critics to provide any evidence of his absence during such events, emphasizing that parliamentary activities are monitored by CCTV.
Addressing another claim regarding his refusal to sign a motion concerning the Chief Election Commissioner, Chadha clarified that no party leader had approached him, formally or informally, to sign it. He noted that several other MPs from his party also did not sign the motion.
Chadha emphasized that his parliamentary efforts are concentrated on significant public issues, including GST, income tax, air pollution in Delhi, water issues in Punjab, public healthcare, education, railway passenger rights, menstrual health, unemployment, and inflation.
He reiterated that his goal in Parliament is to create a positive impact, as it operates on taxpayer funds, and he feels a duty to address their concerns. He concluded by stating that every falsehood will eventually be revealed.
