Punjab Police Uncovers ISI-Linked Terror Network: Arrests Made and Weapons Seized
Major Terror Module Disrupted in Punjab
Chandigarh: The Punjab Police have successfully dismantled a terror module allegedly supported by Pakistan's ISI, leading to the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of two hand grenades and a Glock pistol, as reported by a senior police official on Monday.
According to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, the grenades are marked with POF (Pakistan Ordnance Factory), suggesting a connection to cross-border activities.
One suspect was apprehended in Ahmedabad through a collaborative effort with the ATS Gujarat, Yadav confirmed.
Initial investigations indicate that this group was planning systematic attacks on police facilities across various states, a threat that has now been neutralized.
An FIR has been filed under the Explosive Substances Act and the Arms Act at the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) police station in Amritsar.
Yadav added, "We are actively working to identify, locate, and arrest additional members of this terror module."
