The DGP shared in a post that the Patiala police's operation led to the arrest of nine suspects involved in heinous crimes. Authorities recovered nine .32 caliber pistols and one .30 caliber PX5 pistol during the operation. Continued Efforts Against Drug Trafficking

On December 31, the Punjab government's relentless campaign against drugs reached a new milestone, with over 1,000 officers conducting multiple raids in a single day. Under the anti-drug initiative, the Punjab Police persuaded 46 individuals to seek rehabilitation for substance abuse, while continuing their rigorous operations and awareness campaigns against drugs. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann's 'War on Drugs' campaign has now entered its 304th day, resulting in raids at 319 locations and the arrest of 113 drug traffickers, bringing the total number of arrests to 42,480 over this period.
