Amritpal Singh, also known as Amrit Dalm, who is linked to the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang, has been extradited from Moldova to India. Reports indicate that he had been a wanted individual for a considerable time, facing multiple serious criminal charges.


Arrest Based on Interpol Red Notice

Amritpal was apprehended at the Moldova border at the end of February 2026, following an Interpol Red Notice. Subsequently, India initiated the extradition process, which was approved by a Moldovan court, leading to his handover to Indian authorities.


Wanted in 21 Criminal Cases

According to the Punjab police, Amritpal Singh is implicated in serious offenses, including murder, attempted murder, and drug-related crimes. Reports suggest he is wanted in a total of 21 criminal cases. Authorities allege that he continued to engage in criminal activities while residing abroad.

The successful capture of Amritpal was facilitated by the Overseas Fugitive Tracking and Extradition Cell (OFTEC) of the Punjab police, in coordination with central agencies.
