With this win, PBKS remains unbeaten at the top of the table, accumulating 11 points from five victories and one no result. In contrast, LSG sits in eighth place with two wins and four losses. PBKS posted an impressive total of 254/7, driven by Arya's explosive 93 off 37 balls, featuring four boundaries and nine sixes, and Connolly's 87 off 46 balls, which included eight fours and seven sixes. LSG had promising moments, including a 61-run opening partnership between Ayush Badoni (35 off 21 balls) and Mitchell Marsh (40 off 28 balls), along with a counter-attack from Rishabh Pant (43 off 23 balls), but ultimately fell short.

LSG's Chase Stumbles

In their pursuit of 255 runs, LSG opened with Mitchell Marsh and Ayush Badoni, who quickly took on PBKS's Arshdeep Singh, hitting three fours in the third over. Badoni continued the aggression, scoring 15 runs off Xavier Bartlett in the fourth over, and helped LSG reach 50 runs in just 4.4 overs.

However, a brilliant catch from Bartlett ended the 61-run partnership, dismissing Badoni for 35 runs. LSG reached the 100-run mark in 9.4 overs, finishing the first ten overs at 102/1 with Marsh and Pant at the crease.

Yuzi Chahal dismissed Marsh for 40 runs in the 12th over, but Pant remained aggressive, hitting back-to-back sixes off Chahal. Arshdeep eventually claimed Pant's wicket, leaving LSG at 128/3. Despite efforts from Aiden Markram and Mukul Choudhary, LSG concluded their innings at 200/5.

The duo's aggressive batting saw them score 32 runs in an over off Aiden Markram, marking the most expensive over for an LSG bowler in IPL history. Connolly's innings ended at 87 runs, while Arya was dismissed for 93, leading PBKS to a formidable total of 254/7.
