PCA Officials Assess Match Preparations

To ensure flawless arrangements for the upcoming IPL match between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans on March 31, the newly appointed Secretary of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, along with Vice President Deepak Bali, inspected the cricket stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, on Thursday.


Accompanied by Mohali's Deputy Commissioner, Komal Mittal, and SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans, they reviewed various seating areas, stadium facilities, access routes, parking options, and security protocols. They engaged in extensive discussions on crowd management to guarantee a smooth and enjoyable cricket experience for attendees.


Enhancing Punjab's Sports Reputation

Highlighting the importance of excellent arrangements, MP Hayer stated that the successful execution of these matches would significantly enhance Punjab's reputation as a host for major events, potentially leading to future prestigious tournaments. He also noted Punjab's selection to host the Asian Champions Trophy Hockey tournament later this year.


Vice President Deepak Bali emphasized the need for seamless collaboration between civil and police authorities, mentioning that in addition to the March 31 match, three more games are scheduled at the stadium, marking a point of pride for the Punjab Government. He added that the stadium is increasingly recognized globally as a venue for significant tournaments.
