Murder Scene Reenactment by Pune Police
On Sunday, Pune Rural Police conducted a reenactment of the murder scene involving 25-year-old real estate businessman Ketan Agarwal. The police took the suspects, Siya Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary, to the hilltop of Lohagad Fort, the location where they reportedly pushed Ketan to his death. Approximately ten days after the incident, the police aimed to piece together the events surrounding the horrific murder that occurred on June 18.
Police Commissioner Discusses Timeline
Superintendent of Pune Rural Police, Sandeep Singh Gill, informed a news agency that the suspects were taken to the exact spot from which Ketan was pushed. The police are meticulously recreating the scene to understand the route taken by the suspects, their positions, and how they surrounded Ketan to execute the crime. The accused have also made several significant revelations during their interrogation.
Separate Detention for Suspects
According to a senior police official, Siya Goyal was first taken to the precise location where she and Chetan allegedly pushed Ketan. To avoid any confusion during the investigation, Chetan will be taken separately to the fort. This reenactment will assist the police in verifying the truthfulness of the claims made by the suspects during questioning and their actual positions at the time of the incident.
Ongoing Investigation with Video Evidence
The entire crime scene recreation is being recorded on video to serve as solid evidence in court. The police are thoroughly investigating how both suspects reached the fort and what signal Siya gave to Chetan just before the incident. Additionally, they are verifying how Chetan managed to enter the fort without a ticket and how he was able to track the couple continuously.
