Late Saturday night, a rave party in the Kharadi area of Pune was raided by local police, causing a stir in Maharashtra's political circles. Among those detained were seven individuals, including Pranjal Khevalkar, the son-in-law of former minister Eknath Khadse. Authorities seized various narcotics, including marijuana, alcohol, and hookah from the scene.


Chief Minister's Response

In light of the incident's seriousness, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the media in Nagpur, stating, 'I have only seen this news in the media. I have been engaged in events since morning, so I do not have detailed information yet. Based on what has been reported, the police have uncovered a rave party where some individuals were found. It is also being reported that drugs were present. Once I receive complete information, I will be able to comment further. At first glance, it appears that a crime has occurred at that location.'


Details from DCP Crime Nikhil Pingale

DCP Crime Nikhil Pingale provided further details, revealing that the police team conducted the raid around 3:30 AM in a posh area near the IT hub. They recovered approximately 2.7 grams of a substance resembling cocaine, around 70 grams of marijuana, ten mobile phones, two cars, a hookah pot, bottles of alcohol, and hookah flavors. Among the seven arrested were two women, identified as Pranjal Khevalkar, Nikhil Popatani, Sameer Syed, Shripad Yadav, Sachin Bhombe, Esha Singh, and Prachi Sharma. All suspects have been taken to the crime branch office for court proceedings.
