PT Usha's Confidence Ahead of the Asian Games

On Tuesday, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) hosted a special send-off event for the athletes representing India at the 2026 Asian Games. IOA president PT Usha expressed her strong belief in the athletes' capabilities as they prepare for the prestigious event in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, scheduled from September 19 to October 4. Usha emphasized that the athletes have trained diligently and are motivated by the robust support from their sports federations, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the IOA, and their support teams, along with encouragement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Usha stated, "I have great confidence in our players as they have trained thoroughly this time. They are backed by their associations, the government, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, which have provided them with all necessary resources. The IOA is also fully behind them, ensuring that the required support staff accompanies the athletes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been a source of motivation for them before and after their events. All of this serves as a tremendous source of inspiration. The athletes have already gained confidence and motivation, and I hope they will channel that into the Games for their best performance."

The send-off ceremony gathered athletes, coaches, support staff, dignitaries, and partners as Team India gears up for its Asian Games journey, aiming for impressive performances on the continental stage. The event was graced by Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, along with PT Usha and various athletes, coaches, and support personnel.

Rohit Rajpal's Optimism for Indian Athletes

Rohit Rajpal, a member of the IOA Executive Council, shared his positive outlook regarding India's chances at the Asian Games. He noted that the impressive performances at the Commonwealth Games have significantly boosted his confidence in the nation's young athletes.
