The accident took place close to the Pahari Pump House in the jurisdiction of the Agam Kuan police station. Reports indicate that the victim, identified as Manish Kumar, died instantly upon impact, and the bus driver reportedly fled the scene immediately.

The death of Kumar incited anger among local residents and his family, who gathered at the site to demand accountability and justice.

Protesters obstructed National Highway-30, causing severe traffic disruptions. They burned tires and chanted slogans, claiming that the area had become hazardous due to frequent accidents caused by speeding vehicles, and criticized authorities for their lack of preventive measures.
