Professional Bail Agent Arrested for Forging Documents in Bhadohi District

In a significant crackdown, a professional bail agent in Bhadohi district has been arrested for allegedly using forged documents to secure bail for drug traffickers. The police acted on a tip-off, leading to the discovery of Mahendra's involvement in a network that facilitated the release of criminals through fraudulent means. Investigations revealed that he had repeatedly manipulated property documents and affidavits to aid in the release of offenders arrested under the NDPS Act. This case highlights the ongoing issues of drug trafficking and the legal loopholes exploited by criminals.
 

Arrest of a Bail Agent in Bhadohi

A professional bail agent has been apprehended in Bhadohi district for allegedly submitting forged documents and false affidavits to secure bail for drug traffickers.


The Superintendent of Police, Abhimanyu Manglik, reported that a case was filed against Mahendra (48), a resident of Bahuta Chakdahi village under Suriyawan police station, on Wednesday, leading to his arrest later that night.


Acting on a tip-off, Officer Suresh Yadav arrived in the village for patrol, where locals informed him that Mahendra had been functioning as a professional bail agent for traffickers for an extended period.


During the verification of the bail register at the police station, officials discovered information indicating that Mahendra had secured bail for traffickers arrested under the NDPS Act across five different police jurisdictions in the district.


According to Manglik, Mahendra repeatedly utilized the same property documents to create forged affidavits, manipulated land records, and provided bail in court for notorious criminals, who subsequently absconded.
