Priyanka Gandhi's Remarks on RSS Chief's Statement

New Delhi, August 7 - Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressed a comment made by Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), stating that Generation Z does not require any certification from him. During a press interaction in the Parliament complex, she remarked, 'Generation Z does not need a certificate from Mohan Bhagwat.'

On Thursday, Bhagwat mentioned that protests are a legitimate form of dialogue in a democracy, emphasizing that their purpose should be to foster consensus rather than create division. He made these comments while addressing nearly 2,000 members of Generation Z and Generation Alpha at the 15th anniversary event of 'India's International Movement to Unite Nations' (IIMUN) in Mumbai, stating, 'Protests are also a way of communication.'

He further elaborated that in a democratic setup, protests serve as a means to achieve consensus, where differing opinions converge and discussions lead to agreement.

The generation born between 1997 and 2012 is referred to as Generation Z, while those born from 2013 to 2024 are known as Generation Alpha.
