Priya Ghanghas, who previously secured a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2026, faced a setback at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, settling for a bronze in the women's 60 kg boxing category. She lost to China's Yang Chengyu in the semifinals, marking India's 55th medal at the ongoing event, which includes eight golds, 21 silvers, and now 26 bronzes.

In the first round, Yang displayed aggressive tactics, while Priya countered effectively with several punches. However, Yang concluded the round strongly, earning a 3-2 decision from the judges. The second round saw Yang continue her momentum, winning it decisively with a 4-1 score. Indian Archers Achieve Gold
