Prime Minister Modi's Two-Day Visit to West Bengal: Key Events and Initiatives

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to West Bengal, participating in the 'West Bengal Day' celebrations and leading the International Yoga Day event. He will dedicate three naval vessels and launch various development projects in sectors like agriculture and infrastructure. The visit highlights the government's commitment to regional development and wellness initiatives.
 

Prime Minister Modi Arrives in West Bengal

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced a two-day visit to West Bengal. During this trip, he is set to participate in the 'West Bengal Day' celebrations and an event for International Yoga Day scheduled for Sunday in Kolkata.


As part of his itinerary, Modi will dedicate three domestically manufactured naval vessels to the nation.


The Prime Minister arrived in the Hooghly district from the neighboring state of Odisha and is expected to attend the state-level 'West Bengal Day' festivities in Tarakeswar.


Development Initiatives and Programs

Throughout the event, he will launch several development projects related to railways, agriculture, fisheries, rural development, and infrastructure, along with laying the foundation stones for various initiatives. Additionally, he will release the 23rd installment of the PM-Kisan scheme.


Before leading the International Yoga Day celebrations at Red Road on Sunday morning, the Prime Minister will spend the night at Lok Bhawan in Kolkata.
