Lucknow: Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ganga Expressway, a significant greenfield infrastructure project spanning 594 kilometers. This expressway connects Meerut in western Uttar Pradesh to Prayagraj in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Completed in a record time of less than 3.5 years, this corridor is set to boost the economy of Uttar Pradesh and strengthen India's logistics framework.

The Ganga Expressway has been constructed under a public-private partnership model by the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority.
- Total Length: 594 km.
- Role of Adani Group: Adani Road Transport Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited, has constructed approximately 80% of this expressway.
- IRB Infrastructure: The remaining 130 km has been developed by IRB Infrastructure.

The Uttar Pradesh government is establishing 11 industrial corridors along the expressway in all 12 districts, including Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Raebareli, Pratapgarh, and Prayagraj. Additionally, it will promote religious tourism by connecting major spiritual centers such as Gadh Mukteshwar, Kalkidham, and Triveni Sangam.
