Prime Minister Modi to Inaugurate Noida International Airport Phase One

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the first phase of the Noida International Airport in Jewar, Gautam Buddh Nagar. This significant event, attended by key leaders including UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, marks a major investment of ₹11,200 crores. The airport is designed as a multi-modal transport hub, enhancing connectivity and featuring a cargo hub with a capacity of 250,000 metric tons annually. With an initial passenger capacity of 12 million, it can be expanded to accommodate up to 70 million travelers. Modi is also expected to inspect the terminal during his visit.
 

Inauguration of Noida International Airport

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the first phase of the Noida International Airport located in Jewar, Gautam Buddh Nagar district, as confirmed by officials.


In anticipation of the Prime Minister's visit, extensive security measures have been implemented in the area.


During the event, which will be attended by several prominent leaders including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Modi will inaugurate the airport, developed with an investment of approximately ₹11,200 crores, and will also address a rally.


Airport Features and Capacity

An official statement highlighted that the Noida International Airport has been designed as a multi-modal transport hub, ensuring seamless connectivity through road, rail, metro, and regional transport systems.


The airport will also feature a multi-modal cargo hub, capable of handling over 250,000 metric tons of cargo annually.


According to the statement, this capacity can be expanded to approximately 1.8 million metric tons.


Initially, the airport is expected to accommodate 12 million passengers per year, with the potential to increase this capacity to 70 million. Modi is also expected to inspect the terminal.
