New Delhi, August 7 - On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a speech at the 57th convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi. During this event, over 3,000 graduating students, including 587 PhD candidates, will receive their degrees. An official statement released on Friday indicated that the Prime Minister will honor outstanding students with the institute's most prestigious awards in recognition of their academic excellence.

These awards include the President's Gold Medal, the Director's Gold Medal, the Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal, and the Perfect Ten Gold Medal. As part of the nation's commitment to advancing cutting-edge research and artificial intelligence (AI), the Prime Minister will inaugurate the AI-enabled high-performance supercomputing facility named Param Pragyā at IIT Delhi's Sonipat campus. This supercomputing facility is expected to significantly enhance the institute's capabilities in AI, data science, advanced computing, and interdisciplinary research.
