On the occasion of World Environment Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the citizens of India, emphasizing the remarkable achievements in environmental conservation that the country has accomplished over the past decade. He noted that due to the government's consistent policies and the collective efforts of the populace, there has been a significant expansion of the nation's forest cover, along with a notable increase in the populations of several endangered wildlife species.

Azerbaijan will host the event in 2026, marking it as one of the most extensive platforms supporting global environmental initiatives.
