On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video conference with participants of the Developed Villages Program 2026. Over 5,000 young volunteers from more than 245 districts across various states joined the session. During the interaction, these youths shared their experiences from remote and border villages with the Prime Minister.
Inspiring Confidence Among Daughters of the Nation
During the discussion, Nikita Solanki recounted her journey through Rekong Peo and the Himalayan border villages. She expressed how the My Bharat platform allowed her to venture from a small island to distant mountains and villages. The villagers welcomed her with warmth, treating her like their own daughter. She emphasized that today’s daughters in India are facing challenges fearlessly.
Solo Traveling Boosts Self-Confidence
PM Modi praised the youth, noting the rising trend of solo traveling. He described it as a means to better understand oneself and the world. Although the young travelers embarked on their journeys alone, the My Bharat initiative connected them as a family. He highlighted that this trend reflects the growing self-confidence of Indian daughters, and the goal is for every youth and daughter in the country to move forward with this assurance.
A New Platform for Over 23 Million Youth
Divyanshu Joshi, a volunteer representing Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, also shared his experiences. He mentioned that this initiative provided him with the opportunity to learn about the border villages closely. He stated that programs like the Developed India Youth Leaders Dialogue, Youth Parliament, and mentorship initiatives have enabled over 23 million young people to showcase their talents and connect with the spirit of Nation First.
