He announced the emergence of a comprehensive semiconductor supply chain in India, with ten major domestic units poised to make a global impact in the near future. Speaking at a job fair via video conferencing, he emphasized that substantial capital investments in key manufacturing and engineering sectors are generating millions of high-quality job opportunities for the youth of the country, stating, 'A complete supply chain for semiconductors is being established in India.'
Investment in Youth and Job Creation
Modi reiterated that every Indian is moving forward with a significant resolve to create a developed India by 2047. To achieve this goal, the country is investing across various sectors, which is resulting in millions of new job opportunities for the youth. A complete supply chain for semiconductor manufacturing is being developed in India, and in the coming years, ten leading semiconductor units will establish their presence globally.
Strategic Focus on Maritime and Aerospace Sectors
The Prime Minister elaborated on the government's strategic focus on the maritime and aerospace sectors, highlighting major financial and structural initiatives aimed at establishing high-level engineering capabilities within the country. He mentioned that India is developing a comprehensive ecosystem for shipbuilding, repair, and refurbishment, with an investment of approximately ₹75,000 crores. Similarly, a complete MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) ecosystem is being developed in India, which will include maintenance, refurbishment, and repair facilities, significantly benefiting the aviation sector and creating new job opportunities for the youth.

Prime Minister Modi stated that global partnerships are opening unprecedented opportunities for the country's workforce. He noted that the world respects nations that innovate, manufacture, and provide services on a large scale. India is making rapid progress in these three areas, driven by its youthful population. With each new partnership, pathways are being created for Indian startups, researchers, and young professionals to connect with the world, granting them access to advanced expertise, global markets, and new growth opportunities.
