Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his congratulations to Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, for formally receiving initiation in the Japanese martial art of Kenjutsu. The Prime Minister described Kalyan's accomplishment in Kenjutsu as a 'rare achievement' and commended his years of dedication and hard work.


In a letter addressed to Kalyan, Modi remarked, 'Regardless of your busy film career or public life, you have consistently practiced martial arts with remarkable discipline and integrity.'


The Prime Minister emphasized in his correspondence that martial arts encompass more than just physical strength; they also require mental balance, patience, and inner discipline. Kalyan expressed his gratitude to Modi for the inspiring words.


In a post on the social media platform X, Kalyan stated, 'Thank you very much for your well wishes and encouraging words on my initiation into Kenjutsu. For me, martial arts have always been about discipline, balance, and the harmony of mind, body, and spirit.'
