President Murmu Honors Veterans on Armed Forces Veterans Day

On Armed Forces Veterans Day, President Droupadi Murmu praised the bravery and dedication of veterans, emphasizing their role in inspiring the nation. She expressed confidence in their continued commitment to serving the country. Celebrated annually on January 14, this day honors the contributions of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa, the first Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The President's heartfelt tribute highlights the importance of recognizing and supporting those who have served in the military.
 

Celebrating the Courage of Veterans

On Wednesday, President Droupadi Murmu expressed her admiration for veterans on the occasion of Armed Forces Veterans Day, highlighting that their unwavering bravery continues to inspire every Indian.


In a post on social media platform 'X', she stated, "Armed Forces Veterans Day and Armed Forces Flag Day provide us with an opportunity not only to salute our courageous soldiers but also to offer them meaningful support. I am confident that our veterans will remain dedicated to the nation's interests in the future as well."


The President further remarked, "On this Veterans Day, I pay tribute to the valor, dedication, and sacrifices of our veterans. Their steadfast courage will continually motivate every Indian." Armed Forces Veterans Day is celebrated annually on January 14, honoring the services of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa, the first Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, who retired from the army on this day in 1953.
