President Droupadi Murmu Marks Completion of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple
Significant Milestone in Ayodhya
On March 19, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, offering prayers accompanied by Vedic chants. This event signifies a crucial step in the temple's construction.
The ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ has been installed on the temple's second and final floor, representing the completion of the structure.
With this installation, the temple's construction is deemed finished.
The religious rituals were conducted by Vedic scholars from southern India, Kashi, and Ayodhya, under the supervision of priest Ganeshwar Shastri.
Upon her arrival in Ayodhya, President Murmu was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.
During her visit, the President is set to honor nearly 400 workers who played a vital role in the temple's construction. Additionally, she will raise a flag at one of the shrines in the outer area of the complex, known as the parkota.
In anticipation of the President's visit, extensive preparations have been made throughout the city. Roads leading to the temple have been adorned with saffron flags and banners, creating a festive and spiritual atmosphere.
The streets are decorated with saffron flags and decorative pennants, enhancing the religious ambiance across Ayodhya.
Authorities have implemented detailed arrangements for security, sanitation, and traffic management to ensure a smooth visit.
Ayodhya District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde mentioned that 'VIP darshan will remain closed throughout the day,' while general devotees will be permitted entry except during the President's time at the temple.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Ayodhya, Gaurav Grover, stated that thorough security measures have been established to manage the visit and ensure safety at all levels.
