President Droupadi Murmu Launches PBG Soldierathon to Unite Civilians and Armed Forces

President Droupadi Murmu has inaugurated the PBG Soldierathon at Rashtrapati Bhavan, an initiative aimed at bridging the gap between civilians and the Armed Forces. With the theme 'Supporting Real Heroes - the Armed Forces of India,' the event encourages public participation to honor the dedication and sacrifices of soldiers. General (Dr) VK Singh, Governor of Mizoram, was present at the launch, emphasizing the importance of unity through the motto 'Run for Soldiers, Run with Soldiers.' This initiative not only pays tribute to the Armed Forces but also invites citizens to actively engage in supporting them.
 

Inauguration of the PBG Soldierathon

On Sunday, President Droupadi Murmu officially launched the PBG Soldierathon at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan. This initiative aims to enhance the relationship between civilians and the Armed Forces. General (Dr) VK Singh, the Governor of Mizoram and a key supporter of the initiative, was also in attendance.


The ceremony was highlighted by a post on X, stating, "President Droupadi Murmu flagged off the PBG Soldierathon at a ceremony held at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of General (Dr) VK Singh, Governor of Mizoram, who is the patron of the initiative."



The Soldierathon is designed as a distinctive platform to foster connections between civilians and the Armed Forces, embodying the motto "Run for Soldiers, Run with Soldiers."


According to the Rashtrapati Bhavan, "The Soldierathon serves as a unique platform to strengthen the bond between civilians and the Armed Forces, guided by the vision of 'Run for Soldiers, Run with Soldiers.'"


The event revolves around the theme 'Supporting Real Heroes - the Armed Forces of India,' honoring the commitment, bravery, and sacrifices of soldiers while motivating citizens to show their support through active involvement.
