Rajasthan Government Prepares for Independence Day
The Rajasthan government is gearing up for the national celebration of Independence Day, which will be marked with enthusiasm and dignity. The main event is scheduled to take place at the sports ground of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government College.
On July 20, a meeting was held at the Collectorate auditorium under the leadership of District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav to discuss preparations for the Independence Day ceremony on August 15, 2026. The Collector emphasized the importance of celebrating this national festival with pride and joy.
According to the Collector, the main ceremony will commence at 9:05 AM with the flag hoisting by the chief guest at the sports ground of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government College. Following the inspection of the parade, a march past will take place. After reading the message from the Governor, there will be a display of physical exercises. The event will also honor freedom fighters and the families of martyrs, along with recognizing individuals for their notable contributions.
Students will present cultural programs, culminating in the national anthem. The Collector instructed all relevant departments and officials to ensure their responsibilities are fulfilled, and all personnel must participate in the Independence Day celebrations.
It was noted during the meeting that preparations for the student and scout guide parade will begin on August 3 at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government College.
Outstanding performing groups in the parade will receive awards during the main ceremony. Preliminary practices for the parade will occur on August 11-12 at the college, while physical training will take place at the Government Girls College. The final rehearsal for the parade, PT, and cultural programs is set for August 13 at 8:30 AM.
A cultural evening will be organized on August 14, 2026, at 7 PM in the SD Bihani Auditorium Hall, preceding the Independence Day celebrations. A selection committee has been formed to award students who achieve excellence in education. Interested applicants can submit their applications to the committee by August 11, 2026. Similarly, administrative officials, employees, institutions, and distinguished individuals can apply by August 10.
The District Collector has directed relevant officials to ensure that arrangements for security, traffic, medical services, cleanliness, and transportation are carried out with dedication and dignity.
