Preparations Underway for Chief Minister's Visit and Mudia Purnima Fair 2026

Inspection of Arrangements for the Upcoming Events

In light of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's upcoming visit and the Mudia Purnima Fair 2026, District Collector Mayank Manish and District Superintendent of Police Kamble Sharan Gopinath conducted a thorough inspection of the Sapta Koshi Parikrama route on Monday, located at the Rajasthan border in Poonchari. They reviewed the preparations and arrangements for the event, focusing on the safety and convenience of the pilgrims, and provided necessary directives to the concerned officials.

During the inspection, the District Collector and the Superintendent of Police evaluated various key locations, including the helipad, Shri Nathji Temple, the unpaved parikrama route, shelter areas, control room, and other significant sites. The District Collector emphasized that ensuring a safe, organized, and reverent environment for every pilgrim is the administration's top priority, in line with the intentions of the state government and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. He instructed officials to continuously monitor all arrangements and promptly address any deficiencies.

The district administration has implemented extensive measures to ensure the safety of pilgrims along the parikrama route. This includes the establishment of watchtowers, police checkpoints, barricading, tents, and the deployment of additional police forces. Special traffic management and barricading have been arranged at all major entry points into Poonchari to facilitate smooth and secure movement for the pilgrims.

Shelters created for the pilgrims are equipped with drinking water, lighting, toilets, and other essential amenities. Special arrangements for bathing and resting have been made for female pilgrims at Apsara Kund and Naval Kund areas. Additionally, free massage services are available at the shelters, providing relief to pilgrims after their long parikrama. The officials also observed beautification efforts along the parikrama route.

All electrical transformers have been secured with sturdy grills and adorned with attractive paintings to enhance the aesthetic appeal. The entrances at Anyour, Jatipura, and Pyau have been decorated with appealing designs and modern lighting. Key religious sites, including Shri Nathji Temple and Mukut Mukharvind, have also been specially decorated, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere throughout the area.

In anticipation of the monsoon, the drainage system has been organized to address any potential waterlogging issues. Drains have been covered securely, and a sufficient number of pump sets and technical teams have been deployed to prevent water accumulation on the parikrama route during rainfall, ensuring uninterrupted travel for the pilgrims. The control room located in Poonchari remains active 24/7 for effective management of the fair's arrangements.

Officials and staff from various departments, including revenue, police, municipal council, public works, health engineering, and electricity, are on round-the-clock duty shifts to continuously monitor the arrangements. Cultural programs, devotional songs, and presentations based on Braj culture are being organized along the parikrama route, connecting pilgrims with the divine pastimes of Lord Krishna. Pilgrims from across the country are participating in the Sapta Koshi Parikrama of Shri Giriraj Maharaj with devotion and appreciation for the arrangements made by the administration.

During the inspection, key officials including Bharatpur CEO Mridul Singh, Additional CEO Deeg Mohan Singh, Sub-Divisional Officer Deeg Amit Meena, Sub-Divisional Officer Kumher Shrestha Shri, and Tehsildar Ankit Gupta were present. The District Collector instructed all officials to ensure that each department fulfills its responsibilities with full coordination and vigilance for the successful organization of the Chief Minister's visit and the Mudia Purnima Fair 2026.
