Prashant Kishor's Victory and Vision for Bihar
Prashant Kishor of the Jan Suraj Party is currently leading by 14,953 votes, having secured a total of 50,976 votes by the conclusion of the 25th round of counting. His victory now seems almost certain. Kishor has made a significant statement, asserting that this win represents the triumph of the people of Bankipur. He emphasized that, as stated during the campaign, this election was not merely about selecting a legislator. It was a message from the people of Bihar to the central leadership of the BJP, urging them to appoint a capable individual as the Chief Minister of Bihar. They do not wish for someone with a criminal background or questionable character to lead the state.
He clearly articulated the need for a Chief Minister who can improve education, create job opportunities for the youth, and ensure that children in Bihar do not have to migrate elsewhere for work. The crucial point is that Bihar requires good leadership and genuine development. Before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi, the BJP, and Amit Shah should focus on enhancing Bihar, generating jobs for the youth, and preventing migration. Our sole aim is to foster development in Bihar; we do not seek to become legislators merely to secure contracts.
Kishor pointed out that the character and image of Samrat Chaudhary are already well-known. If a person with a criminal background is appointed as Chief Minister, Bihar cannot progress. Our struggle is not against any individual but against the prevailing circumstances. The BJP and NDA hold a majority, and the Chief Minister will emerge from their coalition. We are simply requesting that the people of Bihar, especially those from Bankipur, urge Prime Minister Modi to appoint a capable and honorable individual as Chief Minister, so that the people of Bihar can take pride in their identity and ensure quality education and employment for our children.
Following this victory, Kishor stated that honoring the trust and blessings of the people of Bankipur will be their top priority. They will strive to improve Bankipur, and changes should be visible within the next two to three months. He refrained from making grand promises, acknowledging that becoming a legislator will not transform Bankipur into Bengaluru overnight. However, he assured that some improvements would be evident soon. The people of Bankipur have sent a clear message to the BJP leadership: 'Please appoint a good person as the Chief Minister of Bihar.'
Kishor also mentioned that if the BJP wishes to replace Samrat Chaudhary with another leader from the Kushwaha community, that is entirely their decision, and they have no objections. However, whoever is chosen must be a capable and honest individual from the Kushwaha community. Bihar must progress regardless of who wins or which party forms the government. This is the essence of democracy. Victories and defeats are part of elections; they come and go. Ultimately, the development of Bihar is what truly matters.
