Prashant Kishor Announces Uday Singh as National President of Jan Suraj Party

In a significant development for the Jan Suraj Party, founder Prashant Kishor has announced Uday Singh as the party's first national president. This decision marks a strategic shift as Kishor plans to concentrate on public engagement while delegating leadership responsibilities. The party, which has been operating without a full-time president since its inception, aims to strengthen its organizational structure. Kishor emphasizes that the party's leadership will be based on capability and support from the community. This announcement comes in the wake of the party's recent challenges in Bihar's by-elections, where it struggled to secure any seats.

Uday Singh Takes the Helm of Jan Suraj Party

On Monday, Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraj Party, announced that Uday Singh has been unanimously elected as the party's first national president. During a press conference, Kishor stated that he will now focus on public outreach while delegating the responsibilities of running the organization to Uday Singh and RCP Singh. The Jan Suraj Party, which was launched on October 2 last year, has been operating without a full-time president until now.

Although Kishor made it clear that he would not take on any official role, shortly after the party's formation, former IPS officer Manoj Bharti was appointed as the 'executive president.' Kishor also asserted that Uday Singh, known for providing logistical support to the party, was elected not just by majority but by consensus through a committee formed for this purpose.

Last July, during a state-level workshop, Kishor remarked, "The leader of this party is not Prashant Kishor. The leader will be the most capable face of Bihar, someone who has the support of all." In the recent by-elections held in Bihar, the Jan Suraj Party failed to secure any seats or even save their deposits across three constituencies. The NDA emerged victorious in the by-elections, winning all four assembly seats, retaining Imamganj and capturing Tarari, Ramgarh, and Belaganj from the India bloc.
