Initiation of Restoration Work on 11kV Power Line

Residents of Pangi Valley can look forward to a resolution regarding the frequent power outages that have plagued them. The Electricity Department has officially announced the start of restoration activities on the 11kV high-voltage line connecting Thirot to Shour.


As per the announcement, the restoration is scheduled to take place from January 18 to January 25, 2026. The department noted that if weather conditions are favorable, the power supply could potentially resume at any time during this timeframe.


Residents in the Thirot Power House to Shour area have been advised to exercise caution while near the high-voltage line, as electricity may be restored without prior warning.


Er. Hem Singh Rana, the Assistant Engineer of the Sach Electricity Sub-Division, emphasized that the department is committed to completing the restoration work promptly, leveraging favorable weather to ensure a steady power supply to the valley.


Restoring electricity in remote areas like Pangi Valley is particularly challenging due to severe winter weather and rugged terrain. This announcement brings much-needed hope and relief to the local community.
