Shivakumar's grand oath-taking ceremony on June 3, a disturbing narrative of loyalty and betrayal has emerged from within the party, alarming its leadership. Amid discussions about cabinet formation, a leaked audio clip has gone viral on social media, igniting significant unrest within the Congress ranks.

The audio allegedly features prominent leader and minister B. Zameer Ahmed Khan conspiring to undermine the Congress candidate in the upcoming by-election for the Davanagere South assembly seat.

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), SDPI candidate Afsar Kodlipete finished third with 18,971 votes. As for Shivakumar, he is set to take the oath of office as Chief Minister on June 3, alongside nine other leaders. Sources indicate that the remaining ministers will be sworn in later on June 18, with a maximum of 34 ministers allowed in Karnataka, including the Chief Minister.
