Political Activity Intensifies in Bihar

The political landscape in Bihar is heating up as the elections for the Patna Graduate constituency of the Legislative Council approach. JDU legislator Anant Singh has openly begun campaigning against his party's official candidate, Neeraj Kumar. Singh has taken to the streets in support of Dr. Anuj Singh, the candidate from the Jan Suraj Party, urging voters in Nawada to cast their votes in his favor.

Anant Singh's Outreach in Nawada

On Saturday, Anant Singh, accompanied by his supporters, visited Nawada. He paid tribute at the statue of martyr Chandan Singh located at the Warisliganj bypass. Following this, his convoy traveled through Warisliganj, Kauakol, Pakribara, Roh, and Kadirganj, eventually reaching Nawada city.

At the Democracy Chowk in Nawada, Singh also honored the statue of Jayaprakash Narayan, surrounded by a large gathering of supporters and members of the Jan Suraj Party.

Appeal for Support for Dr. Anuj Singh

During his outreach campaign, Anant Singh urged voters in the Patna Graduate constituency to support Dr. Anuj Singh from the Jan Suraj Party. He encouraged them to give him their first preference vote.

Throughout the campaign, Singh worked to rally support for Anuj Singh among his followers. Reports indicate that in several locations, his convoy was welcomed with flower showers from JCB machines.

Anant Singh's Stance Against Neeraj Kumar

Anant Singh's position is not a sudden development; he has previously expressed his opposition to JDU's official candidate, Neeraj Kumar. He has made it clear that his campaign will be against Kumar, while he supports Dr. Anuj Singh.

In a statement, Singh clarified that his opposition is directed at Neeraj Kumar, not the party itself. Meanwhile, JDU has announced that it will continue its electoral campaign in favor of all party and NDA candidates.

Election Competition Across 26 Assembly Constituencies

The Patna Graduate constituency encompasses several assembly areas, prompting intensified outreach efforts from various leaders. Anant Singh has previously indicated his intention to gather support for Anuj Singh across different parts of the region.

Following Singh's campaign in Nawada, this situation has become a topic of discussion for JDU. However, the final outcome will depend on voter turnout and the electoral process.

Neeraj Kumar Meets Chief Minister Nitish Kumar

In the meantime, JDU candidate Neeraj Kumar has met with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to seek his blessings. Reports suggest that Kumar plans to file his nomination on October 5. Thus, the electoral scene presents a contrast between JDU's official candidate and Dr. Anuj Singh, who has the open backing of Anant Singh.

Significance of the Political Scenario

The political dynamics emerging ahead of the Bihar MLC elections are particularly noteworthy, as a member of the same party is campaigning for a candidate from another party instead of the official nominee. It remains to be seen how the campaign unfolds and what direction voter sentiment will take.
