Political Tensions Rise in Tamil Nadu as TTV Dhinakaran Challenges TVK's Claims
TTV Dhinakaran Denies Support for Vijay's Coalition
In Tamil Nadu, TTV Dhinakaran, who has refused to support the coalition government led by Vijay, has alleged that the support letter presented by the Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) is fraudulent. The General Secretary of the AMMK criticized TVK, labeling them as arrogant and contemptible. Struggling to secure a majority, TVK had previously sought the backing of AMMK's only elected MLA, Kamaraj S, to form an executive coalition.
Claims of Support and Counterclaims
Later, the party asserted that Kamaraj had agreed to support them and had provided a letter of endorsement. A video was also circulated, purportedly showing Kamaraj signing a document. However, Dhinakaran dismissed the video as fake and AI-generated during a press conference, questioning who recorded it and where it took place.
Dhinakaran's Concerns Over Allegations
The seasoned politician expressed his shock upon learning from news reports that the AMMK MLA had pledged support to Vijay. He further questioned why TVK had not taken Kamaraj to the Governor if they indeed had his backing. Dhinakaran accused TVK of attempting to create confusion and insisted they should present the original letter, claiming the document in question was not authentic.
Speculations of Political Maneuvering
In a conversation with a media outlet the previous day, he hinted that there might be attempts to buy off legislators in the quest for a majority. With AMMK and IUML withholding support, TVK is currently unable to establish a coalition government in Tamil Nadu. All eyes are now on the VCK, led by Thol Thirumavalavan, which has two MLAs and could potentially assist Vijay in achieving a majority.
