Political Unrest at Jantar Mantar

The historic protest site, Jantar Mantar in Delhi, has once again become a focal point for political and social activities. The situation is escalating due to a protest organized by the Cockroach People's Party (CJP). High-ranking sources within the Delhi police have made a shocking claim, stating that the protest is no longer under the control of its original organizers or students, but has been overtaken by external anti-social elements.

According to the police, these anti-social individuals infiltrate the crowd under the guise of students and launch attacks on uniformed officers with sharp stones and bottles, inciting aggression among the masses. To manage the situation, the Delhi police have deployed additional paramilitary forces at the site.

Police Response and Government Stance

The Delhi police have indicated that the government has not yet issued orders for strict action and is seeking a dialogue with the students. They emphasized that this is why they are exercising restraint and focusing on self-preservation rather than retaliating forcefully.

Calm During the Day, Chaos at Night

Currently, Jantar Mantar is relatively calm, with a moderate crowd present. During the day, participants engage in poetry readings and chants, emphasizing that the protest is peaceful. However, as evening approaches, the atmosphere shifts, leading to increased aggression, stone-pelting, and violence, with crowds spilling onto the streets.

On Wednesday evening, police sources reported that at least two Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) and four officers were injured due to stone-pelting incidents near Jantar Mantar. Many anti-social elements have reportedly infiltrated the protest area, disregarding the organizers' instructions.

Injuries and Police Appeals

In one incident, ACP Jai Prakash was injured on duty around 4:30 PM when protesters allegedly threw stones. Later in the day, another stone-pelting incident occurred, resulting in injuries to another ACP and several police personnel. The police have repeatedly urged for peace and the maintenance of law and order.

CJP Claims Internet Shutdown

Meanwhile, the Cockroach People's Party (CJP) has accused authorities of shutting down internet services around Jantar Mantar, where their supporters are protesting. The party raised concerns about a potential police crackdown on the movement. In a post on social media, CJP founder Abhijit Dipke questioned, "Is the government planning another brutal action?"

In another message, Dipke appealed to the police and paramilitary forces present at the protest site not to use force against the demonstrators, stating, "This is also a test for you. Will you stand with the people or with the tyrants?"
