Riniki Bhuyan Sarma is a well-known figure in Assam and the northeastern region of India. She is a lawyer and a former tennis player who has represented Assam at the national level. Currently, she leads one of the largest media houses in the region.


Educational Background and Personal Life

Riniki is also recognized for her commitment to fitness. Born on July 31, 1973, in Guwahati, she hails from a prominent family; her father, Jadhav Chandra Bhuyan, is a renowned businessman. After completing her schooling at St. Mary's School, she graduated and pursued her postgraduate studies at Cotton College in Guwahati, later obtaining an LLB degree.


Business Ventures

She serves as the Chairperson and Managing Director of Pride East Entertainments, the parent company of several Assamese channels. Riniki and CM Himanta first met during their college years, where he expressed his ambition to become Chief Minister. The couple has two children, a son and a daughter.
