Political Tensions Rise in Jammu and Kashmir

A political stir has emerged in Jammu and Kashmir as the BJP circulated online posters claiming that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is missing. The BJP's local unit shared these posters on their social media platforms, requesting information about Abdullah, asserting that he has been 'missing for the past ten days.' This criticism from the BJP comes at a time when reports indicate that the Chief Minister is out of the state on a personal trip.

Response from National Conference Leadership

In response to the posters, Farooq Abdullah, the president of the National Conference, criticized the BJP, stating that the opposition party has 'nothing better to do.' After participating in a collective prayer at the Hazratbal shrine, the former Chief Minister told reporters, 'They have their own agendas; they know what they are doing. We do not need to respond to them.' Farooq also dismissed rumors regarding a potential breakup of the alliance with Congress in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting, 'I believe these are all rumors spread by our enemies. The alliance is intact; nothing will happen.'

Opposition's Concerns

Meanwhile, Sunil Sharma, the leader of the opposition in the assembly, stated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are searching for their Chief Minister, who has been absent for ten days. He remarked that while the public is struggling with power outages and water shortages, the Chief Minister is vacationing abroad.
