Strict Action Against Illegal Mining in Jaipur Rural

Andhi (Jaipur Rural), March 7, 2026 – Authorities in the Andhi police jurisdiction of Jaipur Rural have taken decisive measures against the unlawful transportation of white stone (Khanda). The police seized a ten-wheeler dumper loaded with white stone, which was being transported without any valid permits or documentation. The driver of the dumper was also apprehended at the scene.

This operation was conducted under the strict orders of Jaipur Rural Superintendent of Police, Rashi Dogra Dudi. A police team led by Andhi Station House Officer (trainee RPS) Neeraj Gupta inspected a suspicious dumper on Thali Chhatrapura Road. The investigation confirmed that the white stone, locally referred to as 'Khanda', was being mined and transported illegally.

The arrested driver has been identified as Ramkhiladi Meena, a resident of Rampurawas Thali. The dumper has been confiscated and taken to the police station, where a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed under revenue, mining, and transportation regulations, initiating further investigation.

What is White Stone (Khanda)? In Rajasthan, white stone primarily refers to raw marble or limestone lumps (Khanda) used in construction, powder plants, exports, and various industrial applications. Illegal mining of such stones in the Aravalli region has become a common issue, as they are sold without valid leases.

This operation is part of a broader campaign against illegal mining and environmental protection in the state. The Jaipur Rural police have stated that they will continue to monitor closely to preserve the ecology of the Aravalli region and curb the activities of mining mafias. Local residents have welcomed this action and are calling for a complete ban on such activities.
