Arrest of Key Suspect in Grenade Attack
Authorities in Gurudaspur, Punjab, have apprehended the primary suspect linked to a grenade attack on a police station. This information was confirmed by a senior police official.
The Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, identified the suspect as Mohan Singh, a resident of Ramuval in the Bathinda district.
Prior to this arrest, law enforcement had already detained four individuals in connection with the attack: Pradeep Kumar, Gurdit, Naveen Chaudhary, and Kush. The incident occurred on November 25, resulting in injuries to two women.
The police team recovered a P-86 grenade and two firearms from the suspects.
With Singh's arrest, the total number of individuals taken into custody in this case has risen to five. Yadav noted that initial investigations revealed Singh's connections with gangster Shahzad Bhatti, indicating that the attack was intended to instill fear in Punjab. He added, 'Further investigations are underway to dismantle the entire network.'
