PM Modi to Launch Major Development Projects in Telangana
Prime Minister's Visit to Telangana
On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate or lay the foundation for development projects worth approximately ₹9,500 crores in Telangana. He will also address a rally organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). These initiatives span several key sectors, including transportation, textiles, railways, and fuel.
In a post shared on social media, Modi provided details about his upcoming visit to Karnataka and Telangana. He is expected to participate in a ceremony dedicating the 'Sindhu Hospital' to the nation.
In his post, Modi expressed, "I will address a BJP gathering in the city this evening. The BJP is receiving unprecedented support from the people of Telangana, who are disillusioned with the misgovernance of the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government and the current Congress administration."
Sources indicate that Modi may visit the residences of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his deputy Pawan Kalyan in Hyderabad. Kalyan is currently recovering at home after undergoing surgery in April due to health issues. He welcomed Modi's visit, stating on social media that Telangana is ready to greet the Prime Minister for the inauguration of ₹9,400 crores worth of development projects.
Commitment to Development
Kalyan expressed gratitude towards the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government for its commitment to enhancing infrastructure, connectivity, and economic growth in the state, which will create new opportunities for the youth and accelerate Telangana's development.
Meanwhile, a government official invited Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to attend the digital inauguration event for the development projects at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). Modi will lay the groundwork for several projects, including the four-lane Hyderabad-Panjim economic corridor and the industrial area in Zaheerabad. He will also inaugurate various segments of the Kazipet-Vijayawada railway multi-tracking project, a greenfield petroleum terminal in Hyderabad, and the Prime Minister Mitra Park in Warangal.
BJP's Vision for Telangana
N.V. Subhash, the chief spokesperson for the BJP's Telangana unit, stated that the party envisions Telangana as a state where it can independently come to power. The state unit has made extensive arrangements for the rally, expecting around 200,000 attendees.
The police have implemented comprehensive security measures for the event, ensuring law and order, as well as traffic management. Approximately 2,000 police personnel and 620 traffic officers, along with special units, have been deployed to maintain effective security.
