PM Modi Responds to Protests and Offensive Remarks at NEET Exam Demonstration

During a protest by the 'Cockroach People's Party' at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi regarding irregularities in the NEET (UG) examination, Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the offensive language used against him. On Friday, he stated that "insults never lead to solutions." He urged the public to guide those who have been misled and to work together for the nation. In a brief video shared on his social media, he mentioned that both he and his late mother have faced insults, emphasizing that mistakes are common in youth and that everyone deserves a chance to correct them. He expressed his understanding of societal issues and his desire to forgive those who use derogatory terms against him.

PM Modi remarked that punishing individuals or dragging them into legal battles will not change the situation. He expressed a wish to forgive and encouraged society to accept this sentiment. He shared a metaphor about how sometimes our tongue gets caught between our teeth, causing pain, yet we do not break our teeth, as both are part of us. He emphasized that these young individuals are also part of society, and it is our duty to guide them correctly. He called for unity among citizens to advance the nation, stressing the importance of learning from mistakes and moving forward. Modi dedicated himself to the bright future of the youth.

In a nearly three-minute video, he stated that the country is progressing and ready for further development, sharing his dream that everyone should also move forward. He expressed his commitment to the youth's bright future, saying, "I live for you; I dedicate myself to your bright future. Let us all work together to advance the country, learn from mistakes, and move ahead." This response came after a video of a woman from Noida, identified as Ruchika Singh, went viral, in which she used offensive language against him. Subsequently, the Uttar Pradesh police registered a case against her, filing a 'zero FIR' at the expressway police station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for public disturbance and defamation. However, the Delhi police will investigate the contents of the zero FIR.
