PM Modi Launches New Urea Plant in Assam, Promises Development and Job Creation

Prime Minister Modi's Vision for Assam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new urea plant by the Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company in Namrup. During this event, he emphasized significant developments for Assam and the welfare of farmers.


He declared that today marks a historic moment for both Namrup and Dibrugarh. The establishment of this plant is expected to not only enhance fertilizer production but also create thousands of job opportunities for local youth.


Government Support for Farmers

Modi highlighted the government's commitment to supporting farmers from seed to market. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, approximately ₹4 lakh crore has been transferred directly into farmers' accounts. He noted that the inauguration of a new airport terminal in Guwahati, alongside the plant's construction, signifies Assam's new pace of development.


Criticism of Opposition

In a sharp critique of the Congress party, Modi accused them of allowing fertilizer factories to shut down and using force against farmers. He also alleged that Congress promotes illegal immigrants for 'vote bank' politics.


Modi assured that the BJP stands firm like 'steel' to protect Assam's land, forests, and dignity, vowing to not tolerate any form of encroachment.
