Inauguration of Semiconductor Facility
On July 4, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat. This event highlights India's growing advancements in semiconductor manufacturing and its ambition to become a global hub for chip production. During his address, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that the facility would soon meet its production targets.
Modi mentioned that he has been informed that the facility is expected to produce 200 million chips annually.
