Ensuring Energy Supply Amidst Global Challenges

In light of the ongoing conflict in West Asia and the blockade of the Hormuz Strait, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is conducting a virtual meeting with Chief Ministers to assess and maintain the resilience of India's fuel and energy supply. The central government has initiated several measures to meet the country's energy demands, with state governments playing a crucial role in the on-ground implementation.

This meeting comes shortly after Modi warned about the long-term impacts of the crisis in West Asia on India. He referenced the COVID-19 pandemic from six years ago, emphasizing the need for collaboration between the central and state governments, similar to their joint efforts during that time. Reminiscing about the 'Team India' spirit displayed during the pandemic, he urged all state governments to establish special arrangements to ensure the uninterrupted supply of essential goods. He further stated that this spirit should now guide the nation.
