Prime Minister's Strong Remarks on Opposition Parties

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp critique against the Samajwadi Party and Congress, accusing them of causing delays in the Noida International Airport project. He stated that the proposed airport had been buried under piles of paperwork with little progress made.

While addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Noida International Airport, Modi claimed that the Samajwadi Party had turned Noida into an ATM for their own benefit, while the Congress-led governments at the center had failed to advance the airport project for years.

Historical Context of the Project's Delays

Modi further elaborated that between 2004 and 2014, the proposed airport remained stagnant due to the corrupt governance of the Congress-led UPA government. He asserted that even after his government came to power in 2014, the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh did not allow any work on the project during the initial years.

The Prime Minister noted that it was only after the BJP-led NDA took charge at both the center and in Uttar Pradesh that the situation improved, leading to the laying of the foundation stone for the Jewar Airport and the commencement of construction.

Reflections on Political Climate

He remarked that when his government assumed power, the Samajwadi Party was in control of Uttar Pradesh, and for the first few years, they obstructed progress on the airport. However, once the BJP-NDA government was established, both in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, the groundwork for the Jewar Airport was laid, and construction began.

Modi recalled that Noida had been neglected due to superstitions, with previous leaders afraid to visit the area. He mentioned that during the Samajwadi Party's rule, he had planned a visit to Noida, but the Chief Minister was too frightened to attend.

Call for Unity Amid Global Challenges

The Prime Minister shared that he too faced intimidation, being advised against visiting Noida shortly after becoming Prime Minister. He expressed his determination to seek blessings from the land that had given him the opportunity to serve.

Today, he stated, that region is ready to welcome the world, contributing to the vision of an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India). Modi urged all 1.4 billion citizens to work diligently and face global challenges unitedly, emphasizing the need for calmness, patience, and solidarity in overcoming crises that affect the world.

A Message to Political Parties

In conclusion, Modi appealed to all political parties in Uttar Pradesh and across the nation to refrain from making statements that could harm the country during such challenging times. He reiterated that the government's strategy aligns with what is beneficial for India and its citizens.
