PM Modi Condemns Hamas Attack During Address to Israeli Parliament
Condemnation of Terrorism

In his speech, PM Modi stated, "On behalf of the people of India, I extend my deepest sympathies to every life lost and every family shattered by the ruthless terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7. We understand your pain and stand with you in your grief." He emphasized that the killing of civilians can never be justified, and terrorism will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Prime Minister highlighted the deep similarities between India and Israel, noting that both nations adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. He referenced the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, illustrating that India has also been a victim of terrorism, and both countries are collaborating closely in various sectors.
Additionally, PM Modi expressed strong support for the Gaza Peace Initiative backed by the United Nations Security Council. He remarked, "We believe this will aid in establishing peace in the region and will also address the Palestinian issue." This initiative aims to pave the way for just and lasting peace throughout the area.
This address marked the first day of PM Modi's visit to Israel, where he emphasized India's unwavering friendship with Israel and the shared fight against terrorism. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised India's support, and both leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations.
