PM Modi Celebrates Women's Empowerment and Valor in Operation Sindoor

In a recent address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the contributions of women in Operation Sindoor, recognizing their bravery and pivotal roles in national security. He emphasized the importance of women's empowerment in various sectors, including defense, and highlighted government initiatives aimed at enhancing women's participation in technology and leadership roles. Modi's remarks reflect a broader commitment to recognizing and uplifting the strength of women in India, marking a significant shift in societal attitudes towards gender equality.

Recognition of Women's Contributions

During a recent event in Bhopal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the female personnel for their significant roles in Operation Sindoor, referring to them as the 'brave daughters' of the Border Security Force (BSF) who exhibited remarkable courage. He highlighted that the act of offering sindoor during the worship of Shakti has evolved into a representation of India's bravery.

Counter-Terrorism Efforts

PM Modi stated that in Pahalgam, terrorists not only harmed Indians but also attacked the nation's culture, attempting to fracture society. He emphasized that these terrorists have underestimated the strength of Indian women, a miscalculation that has now turned into a nightmare for them and their supporters. He described Operation Sindoor as India's most extensive and successful counter-terrorism initiative, which dismantled terrorist hideouts in locations previously thought secure by Pakistan's military.

A New Era of Defense

The Prime Minister asserted that the operation signified a clear message: terrorism will no longer be tolerated, and India is prepared to retaliate even within enemy territories. He noted that those who support terrorism will face severe consequences. Furthermore, he stated that Operation Sindoor symbolizes the empowerment of women in India.

Empowering Women in Defense

Modi remarked that the sentiment among 1.4 billion Indians is now unified: if attacked, they will respond with equal force. He praised the BSF's role in the operation, highlighting that women from the force were stationed at critical points from Jammu to Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, effectively responding to cross-border threats. Their bravery was evident from command centers to the destruction of enemy positions.

Trust in Women's Capabilities

The Prime Minister noted the growing trust in women's capabilities across various sectors, from education to military. He pointed out that for the first time, Sainik Schools have opened their doors to girls, and the percentage of female NCC cadets has surged towards 50%. The inaugural group of female cadets has graduated from the National Defence Academy, and women are now serving in frontline roles across the Army, Navy, and Air Force, showcasing exceptional bravery.

Government Initiatives for Women's Empowerment

Highlighting his administration's commitment to women's empowerment, Modi mentioned that previously, women were often excluded from technological advancements. However, the government is now focused on ensuring that women lead in modern technology. He cited the NaMo Drone Didi initiative, which is enhancing the confidence and income of rural women. Many daughters are now pursuing careers as doctors, engineers, and scientists, with over 100 women contributing to the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
