PM Modi Celebrates One Year of Operation Sindoor, Reaffirms Stance Against Terrorism

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commemorated the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, praising the Indian Armed Forces for their bravery and reaffirming India's commitment to combating terrorism. He emphasized the importance of dismantling the networks that support terrorism and highlighted the unity among security forces. The operation, which targeted terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, was a response to a tragic attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives. Modi's remarks underscore the nation's unwavering resolve in ensuring national security and self-reliance in defense.
 

PM Modi Honors Armed Forces on Operation Sindoor Anniversary

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged the valor of the Indian Armed Forces as they marked the first anniversary of 'Operation Sindoor'. He reiterated India's firm stance against terrorism, emphasizing the nation's commitment not only to defeat terrorism but also to dismantle the entire network that supports it. Modi highlighted that even after a year, India remains resolute in its mission to eradicate terrorism and its underlying structures.


The Prime Minister's remarks came in light of the military operations targeting terrorist and military infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which were executed a year ago.


Modi praised the unparalleled courage, precision, and determination displayed by the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor. He noted that the security forces effectively retaliated against those who dared to attack innocent Indians in Pahalgam, earning the respect and admiration of the entire nation for their bravery.


In a post on social media platform 'X', he stated, 'Operation Sindoor exemplifies India's resolute response to terrorism and our unwavering commitment to national security. It showcases the professionalism, preparedness, and coordinated strength of our armed forces.'


Furthermore, Modi pointed out that this operation highlighted the growing unity among Indian security forces and underscored the enhancements in national security achieved through efforts towards self-reliance in the defense sector.


Operation Sindoor was conducted by all three branches of the armed forces in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF) from May 7 to May 10, 2025, targeting terrorist and military bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. This operation was a direct response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, which resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals, primarily tourists.
