Significant Developments in Anti-Terror Operations

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended Home Minister Amit Shah's impactful speech in Parliament, highlighting the crucial roles of Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev in combating terrorism. During Operation Mahadev, which took place on Monday in Jammu and Kashmir, three terrorists, including the mastermind behind the Pahalgam attack, were eliminated. In his address to the Lok Sabha, Amit Shah confirmed that all three terrorists associated with the Lashkar responsible for the Pahalgam attack were neutralized by security forces, avenging the tragic killing of 26 tourists on April 22. Shah mentioned that a plan to apprehend the terrorists was devised just hours after the attack, instructing security forces to ensure they did not escape the country.


Prime Minister's Praise for Security Efforts

Expressing his admiration for Shah's speech, PM Modi noted that the Home Minister's address was centered on the government's commitment to national security. In a post on social media, Modi remarked that Shah provided vital insights into Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev, which have been instrumental in eliminating cowardly terrorists. Amit Shah also confirmed in Parliament that the three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack were killed during Operation Mahadev in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that forensic reports from shell casings recovered at the attack site were utilized for further verification. Following the elimination of these terrorists, their weapons were seized, including one M9 and two AK-47 rifles.


Forensic Evidence Linking Weapons to Terrorism

Amit Shah elaborated that the seized rifles were transported via a special aircraft to the Chandigarh Central Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). The spent cartridges were fired from these rifles and matched with those found at the Pahalgam attack site, confirming that they were used in the murder of innocent civilians.
