Modi urged the public to champion domestic products and bolster local industries, stating, “We need to transform ‘Vocal for Local’ into a widespread movement.”

He pointed out that excessive foreign goods consumption strains India's foreign exchange reserves.

Regarding gold imports, he highlighted the significant national resources allocated to this precious metal.

The Prime Minister advised against non-essential purchases, remarking, “Gold is not necessary at this time,” and recommended delaying such expenditures until global conditions improve.

He also addressed the consumption of edible oils, advocating for moderation due to its effects on health and import levels.

Modi noted that cutting back on consumption could benefit both individuals and the national economy. He reiterated the need to lessen dependence on petrol and diesel.

He encouraged the use of public transport, electric vehicles, and shared mobility solutions, suggesting carpooling as a practical option for families with multiple cars.

Additionally, he discussed the impact of overseas travel and destination weddings, stating, “Such practices result in considerable foreign exchange outflow. People should consider India for their weddings and vacations.”

He highlighted India's rich cultural and scenic locations as ideal for such events, advocating for a focus on domestic tourism.

Referring to the Statue of Unity, he remarked that India has world-class destinations available within its borders.

“There is no better place than India for weddings. I encourage everyone to consider getting married at the Statue of Unity. Sardar Patel will bless you,” he said, promoting the idea of celebrating significant life events locally.

Lastly, he urged farmers to embrace natural farming techniques and minimize the use of chemical fertilizers, emphasizing that “soil protection and sustainability are crucial for the long-term health of agriculture.”
