Piyush Goyal's Visit to Chennai for Election Preparations
Union Minister Piyush Goyal arrived in Chennai on Monday to finalize seat allocations for the upcoming assembly elections. He expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will achieve a remarkable victory in the polls. During his meeting with the state BJP president, Nainar Nagendran, Goyal assured that the alliance is prepared to provide effective governance to the people of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Speaking to reporters, Goyal reiterated his belief that the NDA will secure a significant win and deliver a competent government for the citizens of Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. Regarding the seat distribution for the upcoming elections, he mentioned that in his experience with free trade agreements, he has never felt pressured by deadlines; instead, he focuses on quality, emphasizing that they are all part of one family.
He expressed his strong belief that, considering their familial ties, the entire NDA operates like a family. With leaders such as EPS from AIADMK, Ambumani Ramadoss, TTV Dhinakaran, and Nainar Nagendran from his party, along with L. Murugan and other partners, they will convene to make decisions collectively and inform the public. Regarding Prime Minister Modi's next visit to Tamil Nadu, Goyal stated that once they commence their election campaign, discussions will take place with all partners to finalize the Prime Minister's schedule.
He emphasized that the people of Tamil Nadu desire a government that fosters development and change for farmers, fishermen, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Goyal asserted that Tamil Nadu is ready for an NDA government, which, under Prime Minister Modi's guidance and visionary leadership, represents a robust National Democratic Alliance. Just yesterday, Modi set a record for the longest-serving Chief Minister in Indian history. The people of Tamil Nadu are looking forward to a government led by Edappadi K. Palaniswami that will promote growth for farmers, fishermen, SMEs, and industries, create job opportunities for youth, encourage innovation in startups, provide quality healthcare and education, ensure housing for the underprivileged, and work towards prosperity for all, steering Tamil Nadu towards development.
