Ongoing Turmoil in Parliament
Parliament is currently witnessing significant unrest. In the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister and Leader of the House JP Nadda has made serious allegations against the opposition. He stated that the behavior of the INDI alliance is highly irresponsible, and their anti-democratic actions are evident in the Parliament. The decorum of the parliamentary proceedings is being undermined, violating democratic principles. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has clearly stated that the government is open to discussing all issues.
Government's Stance on NEET Issues
Nadda emphasized that the government is ready to discuss the NEET paper leak and all related matters. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government operates transparently and always prioritizes the public's interests. Therefore, we strongly condemn the opposition's anti-people activities, as they do not believe in democracy or its values. While raising the NEET UG 2026 paper leak issue in the Rajya Sabha, Congress President and Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge stated that for a fair discussion to occur, the Education Minister must resign first. Until that happens, a fair discussion cannot take place.
Government's Readiness for Discussion
Earlier, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju expressed his desire to present the government's perspective in the House. Since the first day of the Monsoon session, the government has maintained its readiness to discuss all significant issues, including the NEET exam paper leak. We are still prepared for this discussion. We have communicated to leaders from Congress and other parties that the government is willing to engage in dialogue, but the manner of discussion will be determined after a meeting chaired by the Chair. However, if they are looking for excuses to avoid discussion and setting conditions, that is not acceptable.
Commitment to Youth's Future
He reiterated that the government is committed to discussing the NEET exam and related issues for the future of the youth. It is our responsibility to inform the nation about the steps the government has taken. As soon as the Chair decides, the government is 100% ready for the discussion.
